About the Role
Sappho Hosts are the heart and operational anchor of every Pink Sappho gathering. They embody our mission of creating intentional, affirming spaces where our community can authentically connect and experience joy without performance.
As a Sappho Host, you serve as the on-site Event Lead, ensuring each experience runs smoothly from setup through closing while maintaining the warm, grounded energy Pink Sappho is known for.
This role combines community presence with event coordination and requires consistency, communication, and calm leadership.
Sappho Hosts may be based in any city across the USA or Europe where Pink Sappho events take place.
Role Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site lead for Pink Sappho events

Coordinate closely with the Founder and event team before and during events

Execute the event run-of-show and maintain timeline flow

Lead briefings with ambassadors and event support team

Welcome and guide guests through the experience

Maintain atmosphere, pacing, and overall guest experience

Communicate updates and challenges directly with leadership

Oversee light setup direction and closing procedures (not heavy lifting)
Individuals who are naturally warm and socially intuitive but also organized, dependable, and confident taking leadership in a live event setting.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys both community-building and behind-the-scenes coordination.
This is a leadership role focused on event coordination and experience management rather than a guest or ambassador position.

At its heart, Pink Sappho exists to reclaim our narratives and identity. We're on a mission to saturate the media with proper, nuanced representation of the sapphic community, stories told by us, for us. Through events, creative collaborations, and visual storytelling, we're reshaping how the world sees sapphic people, and how sapphic people see themselves.
